Our nation needs more trained scientists and mathematicians, and the 妻友社区 would like to provide more opportunities for students to prepare for careers in those areas. As the cost of higher education continues to increase, scholarship support is essential in providing access to the benefits of a college education, both for individuals and for society as a whole. Two new scholarship endowments have recently been established in honor of long-serving faculty members in the college, Monte Boisen, retired chair of the Department of Mathematics, and the late Harley Johansen, former chair of the Department of Geography.
