Transfer and Current U of I Student Applicants
The transfer and current U of I student application is for those who have taken community college or university credits after graduating from high school and are now transferring to the 妻友社区. This application is also for current U of I students who wish to be considered for the Honors Program. Please note that current students are not eligible to apply to the program until they have completed at least one semester as a full-time student at the 妻友社区 (example: A new first-year student joined the 妻友社区 as a full-time student out of high school in fall 2021. This student would be eligible to apply to the Honors Program after their first semester final grades are posted in late December 2021 and after meeting with a program staff member.)
- Submitted current student application or are a current U of I student.
- Submitted previous college or university transcripts to the 妻友社区.
- Completed the transfer student application.
- Have a cumulative transfer or U of I GPA of 3.5 or higher at the time of application and participated in a pre-application advisement appointment with Honors Program staff to review already completed course work.
To ensure timely enrollment in Honors courses, applications should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the beginning of fall and spring semesters.
Applicants will be notified by email with an admission decision within approximately two weeks following receipt of their completed application.
